In today's fast paced world every one of us is chasing something which begins with social media endless scrolling, and at last ends up purchasing a lots of stuff while living life at full speed. A fear that does not let one be still, a pressure that always makes an individual seek something this constant urge is known as Fear of Missing Out or FOMO but this article focuses on an alternative way from where one can learn to live with more peaceful and joyful life and it is called JOMO, the Joy of Missing Out. JOMO means being happy with what you have and where you are and ofcource it is the opposite of FOMO so when you practice JOMO you no longer compare your life to others on social media or anywhere and you do not feel the need to be part of every party or every trend most of them are useless. Instead you find peace in simple joys like reading a book, enjoying a cup of tea or spending quiet time with family which is why JOMO tells us that being happy is not about doing all things it is about doing the things that really make us smile.

Living fast may look exciting but it often leaves us tired and stressed and when we slow down we give our mind and body a chance to rest. A slower life allows us to notice the beauty around us. We enjoy the sound of birds the taste of home cooked food and the comfort of deep sleep. Slowing down also makes us more present with people we love. Instead of rushing from one plan to another we spend quality time with family and friends.
