Men Were Born from Women, but Can’t Handle Sharing Power—MAKE IT MAKE SENSE

This article is a reality check on how society claps for women’s empowerment—until it challenges the comfort zone. It calls out the double standards where men’s freedom is normal, but women’s choices are questioned at every step. From gender roles at home to the idea that a woman must always have a “purpose,” it’s time to break free and rethink what empowerment really means.
Let’s talk about how society loves the idea of women empowerment—on paper. “We totally support strong, independent women!” they claim while secretly hoping she never becomes too independent. Because let’s be real, men are fine with women being empowered as long as it fits into their comfort zones. Start challenging that comfort, and suddenly it’s chaos.

A working woman? Perfect, but she better be back in time to serve dinner.
A woman spending her own money on herself? “Isn’t she getting a little selfish?”
A woman stepping out of the house to breathe and do nothing productive—just like men do? “What’s the purpose? Is she going through something?”

The truth is, society celebrates women’s empowerment as long as it’s dressed in responsibility and sacrifice. The moment a woman takes just her share of leisure or power, things get uncomfortable. You’ll hear lines like:
“She’s rebellious.”
“She’s changed after getting that job.”
“She doesn’t know how to manage her priorities.”
It’s almost as if choices and freedom are luxuries reserved exclusively for men.

1. Empowerment Has Terms and Conditions—Didn’t You Know?

Men have no issue with a woman working her way up as long as she’s also making parathas at 6 a.m. and folding laundry by midnight. If she misses a beat in her household duties, society slaps her with labels like irresponsible or over-ambitious.

Men can leave dirty dishes in the sink without batting an eye, but if a woman does the same, the world suddenly crumbles. Cue the dramatic family meeting:
Relative: “Beta, you’re forgetting your roots. Balancing family and career is important.”
Translation: “Be empowered, but don’t make us uncomfortable.”

2. The Hierarchy of Work: Where Housework = Invisible Labor

In the great societal hierarchy, house chores rank somewhere between insignificant and who even cares. Cooking, cleaning, and caregiving are treated as women’s duties—not because they’re not valuable, but because society decided ages ago that women’s labor is invisible unless it generates income.

A man doing house chores once in a while becomes a hero. He’s helping his wife. But a woman doing it every day? Just fulfilling her basic duty.

Here’s a thought experiment: Imagine a world where house chores are paid jobs. Suddenly, men would be scrambling to claim them, and voila! the status of that work would rise overnight.

3. “Where Is She Going?”: Society’s Obsession with Women’s Time

Men can roam around aimlessly at any hour of the day without explanation. It’s called unwinding or catching up with the boys. But when a woman steps out for the same reason, it becomes breaking news. The neighbors start texting, and relatives call to check if everything is okay.

Neighbor: “Beta, you were out late last night. Everything okay?”
Translation: “We saw you walking without groceries in your hand, and it’s making us very uncomfortable.”

Why does every step a woman takes outside her house need to be justified with a purpose? Why can’t she simply exist in public spaces without suspicion?

Men are entitled to wasting time and chilling, but for women, every move must have a productive outcome. No wonder women need to submit a 5-slide PowerPoint presentation just to explain why they want to go for a solo trip.

4. Working Woman vs. Perfect Homemaker: Society’s Impossible Checklist

Society tells women to have it all—but forgets to mention that having it all actually means doing it all.
Want a career? Sure, but don’t forget the house needs cleaning.
Want to focus on your family? Great, but you’ll be judged for not pursuing your potential.
Want some me-time? Sorry, that’s reserved for men.

And if you somehow manage to juggle everything, the world won’t congratulate you—they’ll just raise the bar higher.
“She’s doing well, but she could be more organized.”
“Her career is impressive, but the kids need more attention.”

If men had to live by these standards for a single week, they’d demand a public holiday in their honor.

5. Leisure Is a Man’s Birthright, Not a Woman’s

Men will spend an entire weekend binge-watching shows, gaming, or hanging out with friends without guilt. Women doing the same? Irresponsible.
Society acts as if a woman taking a break is a glitch in the system. Leisure is reserved for men, while women must earn it by ticking off a never-ending checklist of responsibilities.

Husband: “Why don’t you relax? Go out for a bit!”
Wife: “Okay, I’ll go for coffee with friends.”
Husband (two hours later): “You’ve been out a while. Did you forget about dinner?”

Relax, but not too much. Be free, but not in a way that disrupts anyone else’s comfort.

6. The Real Problem: Sharing Power Means Letting Go of Control

The underlying fear isn’t about women working or enjoying life—it’s about men having to share power and space. Empowered women challenge traditional structures. They make decisions, take up space, and live unapologetically, which disrupts the age-old idea that men should always be in control.

A free woman is unpredictable. She doesn’t owe anyone an explanation for her choices, and that makes people uncomfortable.

Man: “I totally support empowered women, but… isn’t she going a little too far?”
Translation: “I liked her better when she stayed within the limits we quietly set for her.”

7. CHOICES: The Most Radical Form of Empowerment

Here’s the bottom line: True empowerment is about giving women the freedom to make choices without judgment or restrictions. Whether she wants to work, stay at home, travel, or just exist without being questioned, it’s her call.

Men have always had choices. They’ve always had the luxury of defining their lives. Now it’s time to extend that same freedom to women—without strings, without conditions, and without the constant scrutiny.

Because, seriously, if men can roam the streets without needing a purpose, why can’t women? Make it make sense.

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall, Who’s the Most Fragile of Them All?

Here’s a thought: Maybe it’s not women’s empowerment that’s the problem. Maybe it’s the fragile ego that crumbles at the sight of a woman who knows her worth. Empowerment isn’t a threat; it’s a reality check.

So, let’s stop pretending it’s about concern or tradition. We know the truth. When women step out of the mold, it shakes the foundation of a system that was never built for them. But guess what? The mold is cracking, and no amount of unsolicited advice is going to glue it back together.

Men, it’s time to evolve. If you can handle long hours of street-side wisdom and tea-fueled philosophy, you can handle a woman living her life. Trust me, it’s much easier than keeping track of why she left the house this time.
