Your kundali says you and a stranger are an 85% match. The man you have loved for six years scores a 14. The astrology is technically correct. But compatibility on paper has never accounted for the specific way someone holds your silence, or stays anyway. This is about what the score measures, and what it cannot.
The Number That Arrives Before the Person Does
When you already know the person, the score does something stranger. It arrives as a verdict on something that already exists. You type in the birth details, his, yours, and the algorithm returns a number that has no memory of the night he drove four hours because you asked him to, or the morning you screamed at him and he did not leave. The number does not know any of this. It is measuring something else entirely.
What the Eight Categories Actually Test
A stranger with a different nadi, a different gana, a different varna from yours will score well by default. The system rewards difference between two unknowns. It was never designed to measure what happens after the score, what two people build, what they survive, what they choose to forgive. The categories are a compatibility map for the beginning of a relationship, not its interior.
Why the Stranger Wins Every Time
The man you love has a history with you, and history is not measured in gunas. He has a pattern of showing up. He has a record of what he does when you are at your least lovable. None of that is in the chart. The chart only sees his moon sign against yours, his Jupiter against your Venus, his nadi against your nadi. It sees the map. It has never seen the territory.
The Question the Score Is Actually Answering
The kundali reading gives you a number because numbers feel like certainty. A low score between two people with six years of shared life does not mean the relationship is wrong. It means the relationship has outgrown the instrument. You are asking a ruler to measure temperature.
There is a version of this where the score is a relief, a low number that gives you permission to leave something you already wanted to leave. That is a different situation, and you know the difference. The astrology is not making that decision. You already made it. The chart is just the language you reached for to say it out loud.
What Compatibility Actually Accumulates Into
The score measures the raw material. It says nothing about what the two people will do with it. A stranger with a high score is a promising beginning. The man you have loved for six years is an existing thing, flawed, known, chosen, and still choosing you back. Those are not the same category of object. Comparing them through the same instrument is the error, not the relationship.
