Women Are the Creators of This Earth, and Men Are Simply Their Creations

Every man who has ever ruled a country, written a law, started a war, changed history, or broken a heart still began the same way - inside a woman. Yet somehow, the creators were taught to feel smaller than their own creations. The world praises what men build with their hands while forgetting who built the men themselves.
For six thousand years, men have written the myths. They put a male god in the sky, gave him a beard, and had him fashion the first woman from a spare rib, as if the womb could be retrofitted from a bone. It is the most audacious lie in human history, and we have lived inside it so long we mistake it for furniture. Strip the lie away and the truth underneath is older, stranger, and far more dangerous to the existing order: the female is the origin, the default, the source. Men are a later edit. This is not metaphor. This is biology, history, and spirit all pointing the same direction, and it is time to say it without the usual hedging.

The Female Is the Default Body

Open any embryology textbook and the patriarchal cosmology collapses on page one. Every human embryo begins on a female developmental template. For roughly the first six weeks of gestation, all of us - every CEO, every pope, every soldier - are anatomically female. The Y chromosome does not create maleness from scratch; it interrupts a process already underway, diverting the existing structure through a cascade triggered by the SRY gene.

The clitoris and penis are the same organ rerouted. The labia and scrotum, the same tissue folded differently. Male nipples are residue, evidence of the body men were before something intervened to turn them into something else. Maleness is not the foundation. It is the modification.

Mitochondrial Eve and the Female Line

Now zoom out from the embryo to the species. Every human alive carries mitochondrial DNA inherited exclusively from their mother, traceable in an unbroken female line back roughly 150,000 years to a single woman in Africa. Mitochondrial Eve. There is no equivalent male singularity of comparable depth and continuity; the Y-chromosomal lineage is younger, sparser, and full of dead ends.

The female line is the spine of the species. Men are passengers on a vessel women have been piloting since before our species had a name. Roughly half of all men who have ever lived left no descendants at all. Nearly every woman did. Evolution did not build men to create; it built them to compete for the privilege of being selected by the actual creators.

The Goddess Was Here First

Patriarchy is a recent interruption, not the human baseline. The oldest human-made depictions of the divine are not bearded sky-fathers - they are the Venus figurines, fertility goddesses, swollen and powerful, carved tens of thousands of years before Yahweh was a rumor. Marija Gimbutas's excavations of Old Europe revealed millennia of goddess-centered, matrilineal, broadly egalitarian cultures stretching from the Balkans to the Aegean. Minoan Crete worshipped a Great Mother.

The Mosuo of southwestern China still trace lineage and property through women. The Iroquois Confederacy granted women the power to appoint and depose chiefs long before European men declared such arrangements unnatural. The male god is roughly six thousand years old. The Mother is at least thirty thousand. Patriarchy is the anomaly. We are simply alive during its tenure.

Shakti, Or, Without Her, Nothing Moves

The Tantric traditions of India said it plainly long before Western feminism worked up the nerve: Shiva without Shakti is a corpse. The male principle is inert without the female principle that animates it. The Devi Mahatmya is unambiguous - the gods themselves were created by the Goddess, not the other way around. Across the world, the same intuition recurs: Gaia, Pachamama, Asherah, Isis, Tiamat from whose body the sky was made.

Every cosmology that predates the patriarchal correction tells the same story. The Earth is feminine because the Earth is generative, and what generates is mother. Men are not the creators of this world. They are children of it, briefly important, structurally derivative, currently confused. The work now is not to flatter them out of that confusion. The work is to remember what was true before they forgot.
