From Biosphere Reserves like Nilgiri and Sunderbans, to Mountains in Mussoorie and Shimla, or Islands like Andaman-Nicobar and Lakshwdeep. From witnessing the magnificent snowfall in Kashmir or to giving a romantic fresh start to your marriage in the rains of Meghalaya, the list is literally endless. 1.Gulmarg

When planning to travel around India, why not to start with Its “Crown” Kashmir? It’s winter season and the snowfall in Gulmarg is making Kashmir look like heaven on the earth.

Gulmarg, as the name sounds, means “Meadows” of flowers. Gulmarg is a hill station, surrounded by Himalayas, located in the Baramulla district of Kashmir. Gulmarg is best known for its miraculous snowfall. It is also famous for ‘Gulmarg Gondola’ the highest cable car in the world. During winters all the Mountains here get covered in white blanket of snow. If you want to see this heaven from the sky by sitting in the Gondola cable car and playing with your kids in snowfall, December could be the best time for you to visit.

2. Coorg

Your wife loves tea, but you love coffee, no worries! Coorg has both. Coorg, a beautiful tourist place located in Kodagu district of Karnataka. It is surrounded by lush green landscapes, breathtaking waterfalls and of course the Aromatic coffee plantations.

The attractive waterfalls falling down from the feet of rock formations will take you to another world. The water raining down your head will wash away all your stress and will recharge your mind and soul. After spending time viewing the waterfalls, you can walk through the aromatic coffee and tea gardens. Along with the coffee and tea, spices like cardamom is also a speciality of Coorg. So, pack your bags and have your next cup of coffee or tea at Coorg while enjoying the mesmerizing views.

3. Mawsynram

If you love rain Mawsynram can be your next favorite destination.

Yes, the wettest place on Earth, the most magnificent one in the world lies in India. located between the lush green forests of Eastern Khasi Hills, Masynram is a wonder village in Meghalaya known for its world-record rainfall.

Along with the rainfall, Mawsynram has many more unique sights. Its rich wildlife diversity, plentiful waterfalls, longest sandstone cave ‘Kem Puri’ and live grass root bridges will take your heart. However, it’s not always safe to visit Mawsynram specially during the monsoon season (almost between July to October) as the heavy Rainfall makes the hills and highways slippery which can be dangerous. The safest and best time to visit Mawsynram can be November to February when the rainfall is low as compared to the time of monsoon. At this time, me you can Safely enjoy the mesmerizing views here.

4. Auli

If you have ever visited Switzerland, then a trip to Uttarakhand can do Justice to India. A hill station located in Uttarakhand named Auli is one such mini-Switzerland in India. It is surrounded by Coniferous and Oak Trees and the Huge Mountain ranges waving at you. The winter season makes it snow Paradise where your daughter can be princess snow white. The thick layer of snow makes it best suitable for Skiing which makes it Skiing Paradise also.

Apart from the snowfall, Auli is Known for its flower valley. The colourful flower valley and the diverse species of flowers will make you believe in magic. To see this magic with your eyes, you will need to visit Auli in summers during July to September. North of the Auli, where the Hindu Pilgrimage colorful Badrinath temples are located. So, a trip to Auli can be plucking two fruits with one stone at a time for you.
