Arriving at Billing by 6:30 AM gives you the best odds of flying before noon. The wind at this elevation is typically stable in the early morning and again in the late afternoon. Midday thermals can ground flights for an hour or more without warning. Bring water, a light jacket regardless of the season, and the understanding that you will be sitting on a hillside for a while.
A standard tandem paragliding flight at Bir Billing covers the route from the Billing launch site down to the Bir landing field. The flight time is typically 15 to 30 minutes depending on thermal activity and the pilot's chosen line. Some pilots will work thermals and extend the flight to 45 minutes or longer if conditions allow. Others, especially later in the day when the queue is still long, will fly a more direct descent.
