In a delightful turn of events, a 19-year-old from Chandigarh caught the attention of his Uber driver, who couldn't help but commend his exemplary manners. Moved by the driver's kind words, the student took to Reddit to share this uplifting moment, shedding light on the often-overlooked strengths of the younger generation.

We often see teenagers being criticized. They don't respect elders, they aren't serious about life, they don't know manners—the complaints go on and on. But this story of a teenager from Chandigarh and his Uber driver has a different ending.

In a post shared on Reddit, a 19-year-old student shared his experience with an Uber driver who praised his upbringing.

As per the post, the student booked a cab to reach his exam center, a 25-minute drive from Chandigarh. Soon after entering the cab, he greeted the driver, who was in his 40s, and engaged in small talk with him. Upon reaching the destination, the driver inquires about the student's age, and he replies 19. What happened next is truly heart-touching.

"Then Uncle said something which really touched my heart; he said, 'Beta, aapke maa baap ne aapko bohot achi parvarish di hai' (Kiddo, your parents have raised you very well)." Then, after a gap, he said, "Mai to roz chalata hu gaadi aur bohot se log baith te hain gaadi me, toh pata chal jata hai." (I drive this cab every day, and many people sit in it, so I just know.) The n after we reached the destination, Uncle said, "God bless you, beta," the post reads.

In the note, the 19-year-old also mentions that the driver's words have made his day.

'That thing really made my day and made me glad that I didn't turn out to be one of those spoiled kids who think smoking and drinking is a flex and that clubbing every weekend is mandatory. It made me realize that I'm probably heading in the right direction, hehe," he adds in the note.

Soon after the post went viral, wishes poured in for the student and Uber driver.

'You are indeed. Your acknowledgment of the thing itself tells,' reads a comment.
