People increase their intake of tea or coffee in the season of winter as it provides comfort. He points out, as people increase consumption of hot beverages, they reduce drinking water.

Winter dehydration is quite common but most of the time it's unnoticed. Now, teas can't replace the fluids the body needs for lubrication in a joint's work. He said "The cartilage in your knees, the cushioning layer between the bones, can dry out over time. When this happens, the joint becomes stiffer and the bones rub more, leading to increased pain.” He added further, "So yes, you can enjoy your tea, but it’s essential to drink enough water alongside it,"

Joint care for winter is an unknown area for the majority of people. To help the people better Dr Chouhan said, "Many people don’t realise that their beverage choices can influence bone and joint health. Staying well-hydrated, especially when consuming hot drinks can make a noticeable difference."
