The 3 Secrets Revealed by Shiva

The Siddha Kunjika Stotra is a profound and powerful mantra revealed in a conversation between Devi and Mahadev, as described in the RudraYamala Tantra. The conversation unveils three crucial secrets that anyone wishing to chant this stotra must understand:
"गुप्तं गुह्यतरं देवि गृहाणस्व ममाग्रतः।
न कस्यापि प्रदातव्यं मम प्रीत्यै वदामि ते॥"
RudraYamala Tantra

The Siddha Kunjika Stotra is not merely a chant — it is a key that unlocks the esoteric dimensions of the Devi Saptashati, also known as Chandi Path. Yet, as Mahadev Himself reveals in the RudraYamala Tantra, this Stotra is far more than a spiritual formula; it is a living secret, meant only for those prepared to hold its power. Through a divine dialogue with Devi, Shiva unveils three sacred revelations about this Stotra, guiding seekers toward deeper sadhana and ultimate grace.

Before you pick up the Siddha Kunjika Stotra with the desire to chant, it is vital to know what Mahadev actually says — and what He does not say.

The First Revelation: A Secret Not to Be Revealed

Mahadev begins the conversation by making a striking declaration:

“Do not reveal this secret to anyone. Keep it hidden and share it only with the truly worthy.”

This tells us one thing right away: Siddha Kunjika is not a mantra for everyone. It is not about how many times you chant it, how clearly you pronounce it, or how regularly you recite it. Instead, it is about who you are when you approach it.

You may chant it for years, and still remain untouched by its power — because it only reveals itself when Devi wants it to be revealed. That is the nature of higher Tantric secrets: they are not formulas, they are graces. You don’t unlock them — they unlock you.

The real initiation into Siddha Kunjika is not external. It is internal, experiential, and granted through spiritual eligibility. Without Devi’s inner sanction, the chant remains a dead key.

The Second Revelation: Even the Devas Do Not Know

Mahadev goes further and says something even more stunning:

“Even the Devas are unaware of this secret.”

This tells us that the Siddha Kunjika Stotra stands apart even in the celestial realms. In fact, when the Asuras attacked the Devas, they sought refuge in the Tantrokta Devi Suktam — not the Kunjika Stotra. Why? Because even the gods themselves had not been granted access to its mystery.

Let that sink in.

If the Devas themselves, who dwell in dimensions of divine luminosity, do not have access to the Siddha Kunjika, then we must ask ourselves: What are we doing when we casually pick up this stotra and begin chanting?

We are reaching beyond the reach of the heavens themselves — but only if we understand how.

The Third Revelation: The Key to Unlocking Chandi Path

“Only by chanting Siddha Kunjika does the Devi Saptashati become auspicious.”

This is Mahadev’s third and perhaps most powerful revelation. The Devi Saptashati or Chandi Path — comprising 700 verses across 13 chapters of the Markandeya Purana — includes powerful tools like the Argala Stotra, Kavacham, and Keelakam. These are ancient, potent invocations that protect the devotee and invoke the energy of the Goddess in multiple dimensions.

However, Mahadev clearly says:

  • He does not say that you should avoid Argala, Keelakam, or Kavacham.
  • He says that these parts bear full fruit only when the Siddha Kunjika is revealed.
In other words, Siddha Kunjika is not a replacement for the rest of Chandi Path — it is the activation key. But here is where it gets deeper.

Kunjika Means “Key”: But What Is the Lock?

The word Kunjika literally means “key.” This is where the metaphor becomes spiritual gold.

If you are given a key, but you don’t know what lock it opens — what will you do? Will you wander around aimlessly, trying the key on random locks? Or will you first find the lock that is meaningful to you — and then search for the key that opens it?

Obviously, the second approach is more intelligent. And this is precisely what spiritual practice demands of us.

The lock is your own Argala — the layer of your inner consciousness, the karmic crust, the unawakened dimension of your own soul. That lock needs to be recognized, worked upon, and softened through practices like Argala Stotra and Devi Suktam before you even attempt to use the key that is Siddha Kunjika.

The Tests of the Goddess

Devi

This journey is not linear. As you walk the path of Devi sadhana, there will be:

  • Failures
  • Confusions
  • Pain
  • Moments of silence and darkness
These are not signs of error. These are signs that Devi is watching. She is testing. She is sculpting you into someone worthy of her grace.

Devi does not give herself away easily. To invoke the force that sustains all creation, you must become more than just a chanter — you must become a sadhak.

Siddha Kunjika Is Not a Shortcut — It Is a Culmination

In a world where mantras are often reduced to playlists and rituals to performances, the Siddha Kunjika Stotra stands as a towering reminder: true spirituality demands transformation.

This is not a path for the curious. It is a path for the courageous.

And when you walk it — sincerely, consistently, and silently — the Devi will guide you. She will appear through dreams, signs, intuition, and the breaking down of your false ego. Slowly, your karmic knots will loosen, your mind will quieten, and the mantra will begin chanting you.

Only then will Siddha Kunjika become what it is meant to be — a key to open the lock of divine union, and to transform the Devi Saptashati from a scripture into a direct encounter with the Goddess herself.

You Must Become the Key

Mahadev didn’t just reveal a Stotra — He revealed a path. A secret. A process.

Before you chant Siddha Kunjika, ask yourself:

  • Have I practiced Argala with love?
  • Have I internalized the Suktam with devotion?
  • Have I waited, not with impatience, but with reverence?
Because Siddha Kunjika is not the key to the external — it is the key to your inner temple.

The key is here.
The lock is within.
And Devi is watching.
