Each Ekadashi festival happening throughout the year has its own name and specific importance. The first Ekadashi of March was called Papmochani i.e., the one that provides moksha from all kinds of sins. Whereas Kamada is an Ekadashi that is linked to wish fulfilment. Religious leaders say that if a devotee observe rituals and fasts with sincere faith and dedication, their wishes will come true as a result of Bhagwan Vishnu’s divine grace.

Indeed, the literal meaning of Kamada is “that which grants desires.” As a matter of fact, the greatest desire fulfilment for a Lord Vishnu devotee would be the purification of his or her soul and strengthening of Bhakti, resulting in the attainment of Moksha.
