This is the ancient biodiversity belt old about 150 million years old, which one also older than the Himalayas. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site that stretches 1600 km from Gujarat to Kerala. This is the eastern extension of the Himalayas whose age is around 60 million years, covering states like Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram. This is known for its mesmerising beauty of rolling and lush hills along with diverse tribal cultures. Some key peaks of this valley are the Blue Mountains or Phawnpui and Dzukou Valley ( a trekking paradise).
