Postman takes washed clothes out of the rain; CCTV footage captures the 'one in a million' moment
A simple act of kindness can leave a lasting impression on them, and this video is proof of it. Although it was not his job, a postman took the washed clothes out of the rain at one of his delivery houses, and it is winning hearts.
The kind gesture of the postman
Instagram user Verrity Wandel from Queensland shares a video of her CCTV footage on social media, and it is too adorable to be missed.
In the video, the postman is seen bringing a package to the house, and he apparently places it on the verandah of the house. Furthermore, he notices the bedsheets drying on the outside. Realising that it would get wet in the rain, he takes each of the three sheets and places them in the shade. The thoughtful gesture has overwhelmed the house owner.
One in a million
'This is 1 in a million. I was on my way home, and the heavens opened. I thought, "There go the sheets. " When I got home, the line was empty. I had to watch the cameras to see what happened. The postie brought my wash in out of the rain,' she captioned the post.
Being humble costs nothing
Soon after the video is out, praises are pouring in for the kind and thoughtful gesture of the postman.
'Beautiful randomness of kindness. Very rare these days. Hope you rang his work to give him some praise. He at least deserved that,' reads a comment.
"Omg, did you cry? Because I’d have cried. Sometimes humans are the best,' another user wrote.
'Being humble costs nothing but buys everything!!' words of another netizen.
The video, which surfaced online in August 2025, garnered attention, and it even helped the lady to meet the humble man, Gurpreet Singh, in person.
"This beautiful human, Gurpreet, delivered my parcel, and it started to rain, so he put my parcel under cover and also put my sheets from the line. His random act of humanity has been recognised by over a million people," she captioned her picture with Gurpreet.
