Ever thought that it's too late to start something? Taking up a new course or a business venture, or even starting a dream project? Well, if you are stuck with such a decision, hear the story of Shashi Bahuguna Raturi from Uttarakhand, the 52-year-old lady who owns a ₹5 crore business empire.

Shashi was just another housewife from Uttarakhand. But one wish changed her life. The wish was to take the taste of the mountains to the world. Yes, she is now the Namakwali of India, a successful entrepreneur who owns a brand of traditional flavoured rock salt.

Shashi started with just ₹1000 and a helper. She packed Pisyu Loon, the traditional-tasting salt prepared by women at home and ground patiently on a sil batta with rock salt, fiery chillies, and fragrant local herbs. Within a short time, the product became a huge hit, and it grabbed not only the Indian market but also the global one. Currently, Shashi runs an empire worth ₹5 crore with her 'Namak' business. Her brand Namakwali is currently one of the trending brands online. Not to be missed, she also grabbed attention with her entry into the popular TV show 'Shark Tank.' Not just that, she also received funding from none other than Amit Jain. Soon after the episode aired, she became a sensation too.

Shashi's dream was to preserve the traditional taste of the mountains by bringing it to the masses. For that, she formed a team of women who work on maintaining the authentic taste of Pisyu Loon. She has also helped improve the lives of more than 500 farmers through her initiative. Currently, over 35 women are working under Shashi.

So, what are you waiting for? Pick up that old dream; it's not too late.
