Fourteen-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scripted history on the opening day of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025–26 by smashing a breathtaking 36-ball century for Bihar in Ranchi. The explosive knock made him the youngest centurion in Men’s List A cricket and one of the fastest to reach the milestone. His innings, which eventually stretched to 190 off 84 balls, came against Arunachal Pradesh in a Plate Group match and placed him just one ball behind the Indian record for the fastest List A hundred, held by Anmolpreet Singh.

On the opening day of the 2025–26 Vijay Hazare Trophy in Ranchi, 14-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi stunned the cricket world by smashing a 36-ball century making him the youngest player in Men’s List A history to cross three figures and delivering one of the most explosive innings of the tournament.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi achieved the feat while playing for Bihar against Arunachal Pradesh in a Plate Group match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, played in Ranchi. In just 36 ball Sooryavanshi score century which is an eventual 190 from 84 deliveries with multiple boundaries and sixes. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s 36-ball hundred is the second-fastest List A century by an Indian, just one ball slower than the 35-ball record held by Anmolpreet Singh.
