The explosive knock made him the youngest centurion in Men’s List A cricket and one of the fastest to reach the milestone. His innings, which eventually stretched to 190 off 84 balls, came against Arunachal Pradesh in a Plate Group match and placed him just one ball behind the Indian record for the fastest List A hundred, held by Anmolpreet Singh.
On the opening day of the 2025–26 Vijay Hazare Trophy in Ranchi, 14-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi stunned the cricket world by smashing a 36-ball century making him the youngest player in Men’s List A history to cross three figures and delivering one of the most explosive innings of the tournament.
