In fact, Abhishek talked about their growing friendship in an India Today Conclave interview in 2018: “We were dear friends. We were simultaneously doing another film, Kuch Na Kaho. We always had a close friendship, and in time, it evolved into something more than that.”
Their admiration for each other grow when they started working together again in the movie Umraao Jaan by Muzaffar Ali. During the same period, they were acting in Dhoom 2 as well. As a matter of fact, this continuous collaborations played a key in the blossoming of a full-blown romantic relationship.
